A Fundamental Guide to Zen FIT

Learn The Basics of ย Strength & Weight Training.ย 

This Workshopย  we will cover strength & weight training in detail, although at a level that should be accessible to new Zen FIT and those with some experience as well.

Our Zen FIT is an organized program in which muscles of the body are contracted under tension using weights, body weights or other devices in order to stimulate growth, strength, power, and endurance.

The basis of ZenFIT Coaching success is a combination of THREE factors.ย 

What will be covered in our Workshop ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

  • Frequency of training โ€” How often
  • Intensity of training โ€” How hard
  • Time spent โ€” Session time
  • Type of exercise โ€” Which exercises

Muscles and Movements

An understanding of your muscles and how they work is essential for strength training.

We will be Exploring the Fundamentals Like ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

There are 3ย  types of muscle contractions we will work with

  • Isometric contractions:
  • Agonist / Antagonistย 
  • Isometricย 

Joint Movements

We will be Exploring the Fundamentals Like ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

Muscle contractions related to joint movements. Four important joint movements are flexion and extension, abduction and adduction.

Muscle Groups

We will be Exploring the Fundamentals Like ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

The main muscle groups of interest that make up the human body are the abdominals, adductors (inside thigh), dorsal muscles (middle back), shoulders, arm extensors, wrist extensors, gluteals (butt), arm flexors, wrist flexors, scapular fixers (shoulder blade), thigh flexors (hamstrings), lumbar muscles (lower back), surae (calves) pectorals (chest), quadriceps (front thigh) and trapezii (upper back).

There are several ways to target all of your major muscle groups during ZenFIT Coachingย 

  1. We will explain the ZenFIT Coaching in more detail the 3 Programs we use.ย 
  2. You can see demos that focus on the major lifts (squat, press, deadlift, and more which tend to focus on the large muscle groups.

Reps, Sets, and RM

We will be Exploring the Fundamentals Like ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

You will need to know these basic and understand terms used in workouts: and what rest time is best for you?ย 

Speed of Exercise Execution

We will be Exploring the Fundamentals Like ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

Contraction velocityย is the speed at which an exercise is performed and this also has an effect on training outcomes.

Building Strength

We will be Exploring the Fundamentals Like ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

Strength, size, and endurance of muscles are built by the principle.

Building Muscle Size

We will be Exploring the Fundamentals Like ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

This training enhances the metabolic factors that result in Strength increases.ย

Power is the rate at which work is done, so understanding how to connect to power
